In short. A buyer of an EA or a signal checks the same things every time: a live account, the length of the history, equity drawdown and how the result was made. Give them that yourself — a separate account for the EA, a monitoring link that updates from the terminal, an investor password for those who want to look in their own terminal. Show backtests separately and label them as backtests. An honest drawdown sells better than a pretty curve: buyers will see it anyway.
What to prepare
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| A live account for this EA only | manual trades and other robots do not mix with the result; if the account is shared — a separate magic number for each EA |
| A monitoring link that updates by itself | the data comes from the terminal, not from your hands — that is the proof |
| The investor password on request | a skeptic opens the account in their own terminal without the right to trade — «MT5 investor password» |
| The recommended deposit, leverage and settings | a result on other settings is a different risk, and the buyer should know it |
| Strategy Tester results — separately, labelled «backtest» | mixing a backtest with a live account is the first reason to distrust everything else |
What a buyer looks at first
- Equity drawdown, not balance drawdown: for grids and martingale the gap is huge — explain it yourself, with the numbers of the worst period.
- The length of the history and the number of trades: three months and 15 trades look like luck.
- Average win against average loss and profit factor — how the result was made.
- Monthly return without deposits: money you added is not profit.
The same list from the other side is in «How to check an EA or a signal before buying»: buyers read it too.
How to show statistics with Davinchu
| Link | What is visible |
|---|---|
| Public account | your choice of: growth that does not count deposits, equity drawdown, history and statistics, monthly return, lots, SL/TP, open trades; with «Magic number analysis» — trades, share of winners and the result of each EA |
| Account portfolio | several accounts in one link; the «✓ Verified by Davinchu» badge appears when every account in the portfolio has sent data in the last 7 days |
| Trader profile | a public name or nickname, published live accounts, return and curve in % |
The pages open without sign-up and update by themselves. Trades and the account balance cannot be edited in the dashboard — that is what makes the link proof. In messengers an account link unfolds into a card with the number of trades, win rate and profit factor — only if you opened them. A link can be revoked; publishing again gives a new address. Where each switch is — in «How to show trading results to an investor».
Davinchu gives the buyer proof of the result, while selling and subscriptions stay on your own platform — on your terms. The Free plan connects two accounts at no cost; what the EA sends and what a link can open is on the «Account monitoring» page.
What not to do
- show the best of several accounts or the best month;
- pass a demo account off as live, or a backtest as trading;
- hide drawdown, open losing positions or lot growth after losses;
- promise returns — past results do not guarantee them;
- send the master password — for viewing there is the investor password and links.
If you take money under management or sell signals as a service, many countries regulate it — check the requirements of your jurisdiction and the rules of the platform where you sell.
