How to connect OKX

1. Create a key on OKX

1. On the website: «Profile» → «API and connections» → «Create API key». In the app: menu → «API» → «Create API key».
2. Name the key and under «Permissions» keep only «Read»: leave trading and withdrawals off. The IP allowlist can stay empty.
3. Choose a passphrase — the key's code phrase. OKX will not show or recover it: if you lose it, you have to create the key again.
4. Confirm with your two-factor codes and save the API Key and Secret Key.

Read-only keys on OKX do not expire. In some regions creating a key requires assets over 100 USD in the account.

2. Connect the account in Davinchu

1. In the dashboard open «Accounts» → the «Crypto» tab → «+ Connect account». In the «Connect a crypto exchange» window pick OKX — the «Spot» market.
2. Fill in all three fields: API Key, API Secret and Passphrase. Without the code phrase OKX does not accept the key.
3. Optionally set a «Name» and click «Connect».

The dashboard checks the key on the exchange and reads its permissions: a key that can withdraw is not accepted, a key that can trade is connected with a reminder to replace it with a read-only one.

3. What arrives in Davinchu

• The OKX trading account balance — on the «Accounts» page: the value and its history next to your other accounts.
• Coins in the «Investments» portfolio — together with other exchanges, stocks and manual assets: value, TWR and XIRR return, allocation, rebalancing. You set the purchase price for a coin's P/L in the portfolio yourself.

If the balances did not appear in the portfolio on their own, click «Sync» next to the account in the portfolio's «Data sources» — after that it refreshes every 15 minutes. OKX trades are easy to review in a manual journal: the «+ Add trade» button.

After connecting

Account «Settings» → the «Connection» tab: the key's permissions and the «Check API», «Update key» (for OKX — together with the new passphrase), «Revoke key» and «Disconnect account» buttons.

If something goes wrong

If the dashboard says «The exchange rejected the API key. Check the key and secret or create a new key», check in this order:

• the Passphrase is filled in and matches the one you set on OKX;
• the API Key and Secret Key were copied in full, without spaces;
• the key has the «Read» permission;
• the key is not bound to IP addresses and was not deleted on the exchange.

If the dashboard says «This key allows withdrawals…», create a key with the «Read» permission only.
