How to connect MetaTrader 5

1. Get a key in the dashboard

1. In the dashboard open «Accounts» → «+ Connect account» → the «MT4/MT5» tab and pick the «MetaTrader 5» platform.
2. Click «Get key». The server creates the account and issues a key — it is shown once, so copy it with «Copy».
3. In the same window click «↓ Download advisor» — this is Davinchu Trade Monitor, the MetaTrader 5 file.

You do not enter the account number, broker or server: the advisor sends them from the terminal. Any forex and CFD broker on MetaTrader 5 works, prop firms included.

2. Install the advisor in the terminal

1. In MetaTrader 5: «File» → «Open Data Folder» → MQL5 → Experts. Copy the advisor file there. It appears in the «Navigator» under «Expert Advisors»; if it does not, restart the terminal.
2. «Tools» → «Options» → the «Expert Advisors» tab → tick «Allow WebRequest for listed URL» and add https://app.davinchu.com — with the https:// scheme.
3. Drag the advisor onto any chart. A separate chart is handier: the advisor's panel covers the candles by default. On the «Inputs» tab paste the key into the «Ключ из кабинета Davinchu» parameter (InpDvKey — the advisor's parameter names are in Russian) and click «OK».

The monitor does not need algo trading: it only reads the account data and sends it to the dashboard. The server sends it no trading commands.

3. Check that the account is connected

• The connection window waits up to a minute and a half for the first sync and shows «Connected» — «Data is flowing — the account is now in your list.»
• On the chart the advisor's panel shows «● КАБИНЕТ» in the header and «Кабинет: подключён» («Dashboard: connected») in the status line.
• In the «Accounts» table the account status is «active».

What arrives in Davinchu

• The whole trade history of the terminal — after connecting, the advisor sends closed positions with prices, volume, profit, swap, commission, magic, SL/TP and open and close times. While it loads, the account shows «Loading history…». After every reconnect the advisor sends whatever closed while it was offline.
• Every new trade — opening and closing right away, with magic and SL/TP levels.
• Account state — balance, equity, free margin, margin level, floating profit and open positions.
• Deposits and withdrawals — the last 32 operations of the account history and every new one.

After connecting

• Account «Settings» → the «EA settings» tab — symbol and magic filters and accounting: strategies, drawdown base, bonuses. The advisor applies settings without a restart.
• The «Notifications» tab — the advisor's messages: trades, drawdown and margin alerts, grid alerts, screenshots and reports, plus the «EA silent for longer than, hours» threshold: if the advisor is online but has not opened trades for a long time, you get a message.
• The «Connection» tab — the broker, server and account number from the terminal and the «Get key» button: a new key disables the old one at once.
• The advisor runs while the terminal is open. Close the terminal or remove the advisor from the chart, and it immediately sends «Monitor deactivated» with the reason. If the VPS or computer goes down without closing the terminal or the internet drops, «Account connection lost» arrives after about 10 minutes, and «Account connection restored» once it is back. To run around the clock keep the terminal on a VPS.

If something goes wrong
