In short. If your stocks sit with two brokers — say Interactive Brokers and T-Bank (T-Invest) — you have to assemble the overall picture by hand: positions, cash, deposits and total value in one currency. In Davinchu both accounts connect with a read-only token and land in one investment portfolio together with crypto, and trade decisions are easy to record right next to it — in a manual journal.
What to track in a stock portfolio
- Positions — what you hold and how much.
- Cash — how much is uninvested and in which currency.
- Account value — positions plus cash in one currency.
- Deposits and withdrawals — without them you can't tell earnings from contributions: growing from $10,000 to $12,000 after a $2,000 deposit is a zero return.
- Weights — the share of the portfolio in each stock, sector, currency.
Connecting Interactive Brokers
IBKR provides data through the Flex Web Service — these are reports; you cannot trade through them.
- Log in to IBKR → Performance & Reports → Flex Queries.
- Create an Activity Flex Query with the sections Account Information, Net Asset Value (NAV) in Base, Cash Report, Open Positions, Cash Transactions, Conversion Rates; format XML, period Last 365 Calendar Days.
- Save the query and copy its number — the Query ID.
- In Flex Web Service Configuration enable the service and click Generate New Token — the token is valid for up to a year.
- In the Davinchu dashboard: «Accounts» → «+ Connect account» → the «Brokers» tab → Interactive Brokers, paste the token and the Query ID.
IBKR data updates once a day, after the market closes.
Connecting T-Bank (T-Invest)
- On the T-Bank website (the app has no token section): Investments → Settings → T-Invest API tokens → Create token.
- Choose «Read only» and the account (or all accounts), copy the token — it is shown only once.
- In the Davinchu dashboard, on the same «Brokers» tab, choose T-Bank, paste the token, click «Find accounts» and pick the account.
A full-access token is accepted too, with a warning that it also allows trading. Issue a read-only token: analytics doesn't need trading rights.
What Davinchu shows after connecting
- account value, cash and open positions for each broker — securities with the broker's average price;
- deposits and withdrawals — growth and return are calculated without them (why this matters is in «Portfolio return with deposits: TWR and XIRR explained»);
- amounts in USD: T-Bank ruble amounts are converted at the Moscow Exchange rate, so the portfolios of both brokers add up to one number;
- a combined «Investments» portfolio — securities and crypto together: TWR and XIRR returns, drawdown, allocation, a rebalancing plan, goals and alerts, a portfolio link and an «Investor report» PDF.
A broker account counts toward your plan's account limit like a MetaTrader account or an exchange: Free — 2 accounts, Plus — 5, Pro — 15, Elite — 50; an extra account is $2/month on any plan (pricing). The «Investments» section is on every plan.
Working with the portfolio
- The portfolio shows composition, value, deposits and return; record buy and sell decisions in a manual journal: reason, plan, risk.
- IBKR refreshes the Flex report once a day — portfolio data arrives with it; T-Bank positions refresh every 15 minutes.
- If you are starting with a spreadsheet — a free template and a comparison of the two approaches are in «Investment tracking: spreadsheet or service (+ template)».
Security
Both methods are read-only: a Flex Web Service token only gives reports, and a «Read only» T-Invest API token cannot place orders. The platform cannot trade or withdraw money. If you no longer need a token, revoke it at the broker and access is gone.
