How to connect Bybit

1. Create a key on Bybit

Keys are created only on the Bybit website, not in the app. New users get the section 48 hours after sign-up. The account must be a Unified Trading Account.

1. Profile icon → «API» → «API Management» → «Create New Key».
2. Key type — System-generated API Keys, API Key Usage — API Transaction.
3. Under API Key Permissions choose Read-Only and tick the Unified Trading sections: Contract (Orders, Positions) for futures and SPOT for spot.
4. For IP choose No IP restriction: such a key is valid for 3 months, and the Days to Expiration column shows how long is left.
5. Click Submit, confirm with the email code and Google Authenticator and save the API Key and API Secret — the secret is shown once.

2. Connect the account in Davinchu

1. In the dashboard open «Accounts» → the «Crypto» tab → «+ Connect account». In the «Connect a crypto exchange» window pick Bybit.
2. Choose the market: «Futures» (preselected) or «Spot». Spot and futures of one account are two accounts in Davinchu: connect both if you trade both. The shared account balance counts once in the totals.
3. Paste the API Key and API Secret, optionally set a «Name» and click «Connect».

The dashboard checks the key on the exchange and reads its permissions: a key that can withdraw is not accepted, a key that can trade is connected with a reminder to replace it with a read-only one.

3. What arrives in Davinchu

• Futures — closed positions of USDT and USDC linear contracts with the result and commission; funding for holding goes into the trade's «Swap» field. Open positions come with their SL and TP levels.
• Spot — buys and sells in pairs against USDT and USDC are matched into trades by FIFO.
• Up to 2 years of history — for both markets. While it loads, the account shows «Loading history…».
• The unified account balance and cash flows: transfers into and out of the unified account, bonuses and airdrops — from 30 days before connecting.

Trades feed the journal and account analytics: growth, drawdown, profit factor, 30-day commissions and funding. Coin balances of the spot account go to the «Investments» portfolio: if they did not appear there on their own, click «Sync» next to the account in the portfolio's «Data sources», and after that the portfolio refreshes every 15 minutes. The exchange is polled every few seconds.

Notifications for Bybit futures

• «Margin call approaching» — when 80% of the maintenance margin is used (in Cross and Portfolio Margin modes). It is critical and arrives even during quiet hours.
• «SL / TP hit» — closes by stop loss, take profit and trailing stop.
• The close reason in the trade message: stop loss, take profit, trailing stop, exchange liquidation or auto-deleveraging (ADL).

After connecting

Account «Settings» → the «Connection» tab: the key's permissions (read, trading, withdrawals, transfers and validity), «Check API» — re-read the permissions from the exchange, «Update key» — a new key of the same exchange account (history and account settings stay), «Revoke key» and «Disconnect account». When a key without an IP restriction nears the end of its three months, create a new one on Bybit and set it with «Update key».
